Workshops and Guides

By [HELP]Schism

This workshop will explain how to load skins for GameSpy Arcade

Hey Guys! Today we will be learning how to install a custom skin on GameSpy Arcade. For today we will be using the Smurf Skin located here. You can find more skins here.

Step One: First off you need to find a skin right for you. Many can be found on Fileplanet.com

Step Two: Once downloaded, save it to your disk like so in depicted below. Save it to your desktop so you know where to find the file you downloaded.

Step Three: Once you have it, open it. Now on some skins you will see this, as depicted to the right. This means it has already been installed. If you see this skip to step five.

Step Four: Now if you don't get that little screen above heres what we have to do. We have to move the file(s) to the GameSpy Arcade Skin folder. This is located at C:\Program Files\Gamespy\Skins

Step Five: Once you have it in that folder, restart your GameSpy Arcade.

Step Six: Once GameSpy Arcade is open look in the very upper left hand cornor and you will see a button to click that says GameSpy. Click it and click on options.

Now select Appearance as shown on the picture. Your GameSpy Arcade skin should appear in the dropdown box.

  Good luck!
