New to GameSpy Arcade? Let us be the first to welcome you to GameSpy Arcade. In this workshop will assist you on getting started here on gamespy and inform you how to use many of it's features.

Welcome to the GameSpy [HELP]ers Arcade Tour room! We are here to help you get started on Arcade, and try to answer any questions you have regarding the GameSpy Arcade program and IGN's services. If you have a billing enquiry or need support and no one is here to assist you, please visit Support.GameSpy.com and fill in the technical support form.

Common Problems:

1. I see no servers listing in the lobbies!

a) Make sure that "Show servers in your own country is not checked" you only get a few servers with this option selected.
b) If you have a firewall, it could be stopping the server information from showing. To view our firewall support page visit here.

2. Problems joining games. (Timing out errors, Different version/protocol/client errors).
a) Always make sure you patch your game! For the latest patch for your game, search on www.Fileplanet.com or in the game's lobby on Arcade, click on the GAME INFO button for links to the latest files and websites related to your game.
b) Firewalls can prevent you from joining also - make sure your firewall is configured for Arcade and the game!

3. I get a bad installation error logging into Arcade and it tells me to reinstall, but reinstalling does not work.
a) When you uninstall - it has to be a CUSTOM uninstall to remove certain files in your Arcade directory. Make sure you do a custom uninstall.
b) Try this, close Arcade, go to C:\Program Files\GameSpy Arcade\Profiles and delete the numbered folders there, then start Arcade again and use the login wizard to retrieve your profiles.
