This WorkShop is to show you how to install and help with any issues with Comand & Conquer Renegade from "The First Decade".
First off pop the PCDVD into your DVD Drive on your computer and wait for the C&C Screen to popup. If it does not pop up. Go to "My Computer" Then open your DVD Drive and Double Click AutoRun.exe and it will pop up and Just Click Install.
This following screen should come up next. Click Next to being installtion of C&C Renegade The First Decade.
Next you will see where you enter The First Decade CD Key. It should be found on the back of your game manual. Enter the Key and Click Next.
Next you have to choice either "Complete" or "Custom", since we are installing Renegade only in this workshop click "Custom" and then Next.
Choose where you want to install C&C Renegade. Unless otherwise needed let it install the the default location. Click Next.
Here is where you choose what games to install. On this just uncheck everything but "Command & Conquer Renegade"
Enter your Comand & Conquer Renegade CD Key found on the back of your game manual and Click Next.
Now you are ready to begin the installtion of C&C Rengade. Click Next on this page and begin installtion. *Note This may take some time depending on your system specs.
Once it is done installing Click Finish.
You will be asked to Register your game now or later. This is your choice do what you will.
Adding C&C Rengade to GameSpy Arcade's "My Games" list
First try an auto scan which should find the game no problem if it is not already added to your "My Games" list. Do this by going to the "GameSpy" Tab at the top left. Then Select "Scan for Games" Once the window opens click "Scan Now". When it is finished it will say You are up-to-date.
If Renegade is not added to your My Games list after this you will have to add it manually. First off go to the "GameSpy" tab at the top left then "Options" then Select "Games" Expand the "More Games" and Scroll till you find "Rengade" Select it and click browse on the right side.
A popup will come up, find your Renegade directory which by default should be C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade(tm)\Renegade . Select game.exe and Click Open.
Click Apply and then Ok and your game should appear under your "My Games" list
Router and/or Firewall Issues
You need to correctly allow C&C Renegade on your Firewall's Exception list.
On your router the needed ports to open can be found here www.findports.com
If you do not know how to open ports on your router consult this page here www.portforward.com. Select the router from the list by The Brand then Model if your model is not there try a similiar model number. Then on the next page Select Command and Conquer Renegade and follow the Instructions.
