Learn how to play online and host on Unreal Tournament 3
1. Creating a Profile
Unreal Tournament 3 uses player profiles to record statistics tracking for games you play online and for your buddy list. If you haven't created a profile, click on the Create Profile button at the bottom of the screen. You can use your GameSpy Arcade profile name, password and e-mail.

2. Playing the Game Online
From the multiplayer menu, select Join Game and the type of game you want to play.Game modes are covered in the manual. You'll see a screen similar to this when you've selected your choices.

If you don't see any servers it's probable you'll need to configure your firewall to allow the game access to the internet. You can do that easily using the Workshop here

3. Hosting a Game Online
To host a game, choose Host Game from the Multiplayer menu and select your maps, bots etc. To get it to show on the internet, you will need to select the Internet option on this screen.
If you are using a router, you will need to allow the game ports in the router firewall or (as Epic suggest), set the router to DMZ mode. Guides to router configuration can be found at this site
